One of the best facilities that taylor lake side has is its library. It has four floors and each floor has different facilities. In this part I am going to inform you about the library.
Services and facilities
Discussion Rooms
These rooms are located on every floor of the library. They are providing for group students to study and have discussions together. Discussion rooms are used throughout the day for 2 hours by group with minimum 4 persons. For booking the rooms you have to register at Enquires Desk, level 2 to achieve the key. You are required to leave your ID at the desk.
Multimedia Rooms and Theatrette
The location of multimedia rooms and theatrette is at level4. Students can view videos/ V CDs/ DVDs / CDs / at this room. The seats are provided for 18 persons and they can view educational materials. Another point is that Headphones are provided at lending services counter at level 4.
Print on Demand (P.O.D) service and pay station
These machines are located on level 3 and 4. Pay station of machine is located at level 3. Students can copy, printing and scanning with speed in black and withe and in colour.
Computers and Internet access
Library has a Wi-fi en banded and also all library computers have Internet access. When students will open a web browser they will see a small page which is want username and password. The username is students ID number and username is a code for each student it is same as that are used to access computers within Taylor Lakeside campus.
24/7 study Area
Library provides a 24/7 study room for student who wants to study a long time. This room is 24 hours. It is under camera surveillance for more Security.
Self-services loans and book Returns
Self check machines located at level 2. These machines are used for borrow and return the book. Do not forget to get the receipt .
24/7 study room also has these machines and Staff and students can use each time.
On-line way for Returns your books
If you don not have enough time to come to university and returns your book you can do it on-line in your home. Sign in to Taylor university site and do it there.It needs Username and password .Username is a number which is in behind your student card and password is your student ID number then you can sign in and return the book .
One of the problems in big libraries is finding the book you really want. But In Taylor’s library solved this problem. Each level has a computer which is you searching and writes the name of book you want then, it will tell you where you can find. Another way is each floor has a counter where some one is there and she/he can helps you to find your book.
Varity of Apartment
Taylor’s University has offered students rooms in new campus in May 2010.
There are 7 blocks and 913 beds totally. There and 6 floors per 1 block, 4 apartments per 1 floor, and 4 single rooms and 1 double room in an apartment.
In the apartment, we set up a public washroom and a storeroom. we provide the desk, wardrobe and bed in every room. Also the rooms was divided into 2 types A and B. Type A has private toilet and shower, but Type B is without that, just provide a public washroom in an apartment. In the kitchen, we have the microwave oven, fridge, but we can’t cook. Respect for different culture and people, help each other.

International office
Taylor’s international office facilitates student’s admission into Taylor’s University and coordinates with the Ministry of Higher Education and Immigration Department for proper approval and documentation if the students pass and visa.
Services include advisory on eligibility, course and support. it provides airport pick-up services.
If you feel you are lagging behind in your studies or experiencing difficulties in adjusting to university life, having relationship or loneliness problems and need to talk to someone, you can find the international office also. Tell them what you want to solve, they can help you any problems. International office venue is in Block A, level 1. It’s closed on public holidays, except holidays, they working on Monday to Friday at 9am to 6pm. Gym's Coach
Fitness equipment
People believe that exercise can improve their health. As an international university, a gym is a necessary place for students to exercise and keep fit. Our "Uni Gym"is located on the second floor next to the dormitory.
There are a total of nine staff who are working there. They are very kind and friendly. Five of them are coaches and they teach new members how to use the fitness equipment. The other four staffs keep the gym clean and neat. There is an aerobic exercise area which has treadmill and bicycle, boxing area and a lot of equipment for muscle training such as dumbbells. On the second floor, there is a big mirror room for the students who want to lose weight, they can join in Yoga class or Jazz class, but you have to pay extra fee as well. There is a swimming pool outside, which is 50 meters’ long and 10 meters’ wide. The staff clear the swimming pool and change the water everyday. Also we have changing rooms and vending machines for students to take food and relax. So, how could you apply to be a member of gym? Firstly, you have to fill in a form online, there are three kind of payment: RM45 for three months, RM90 for half year and RM120 for a year. From Monday to Friday, they are open on 7am to 11pm, for weekend, they are open on the same times, but closed by 7pm. When you go to the gym, you have to follow the rules of gym. Such as you have to wear the gym suit, keeping the public area cleaning and do not break the machine and so on.
In a short, there are several advantages to join in gym. For instance, you can meet a lot of friends. You can improve your health and enrich your daily life. What are you waiting for? Just join us as soon as possible.

Accommodation
Taylor’s university lakeside, which is a new campus, provides a dormitory for students. The dormitory building is opposite the teaching building and it is separated into four parts: B1, B2, A3, A4. My room is located in A4.
Firstly, I will describe my room which is a very small and I share it with another student. It is about 20 square meters with a bed, desk, chair and armoire, also we have our private bathroom which has washbowl, stinkpot and shower room. Although it is a very limit space for two students. But the room have everything already, even electric fans and air-conditional. So I think living in campus’s dormitory is very comfortable and convenient.
Secondly, most parents must pay more attention on security and personal safety and belonging. I would like to say that you do not worry about this, because when we check in and check out, we have to scan our access card three times. There are three staffs from Public security department to patrol around the dormitory for protecting students. Also we have our own key for the door. So if you stay at campus, you will have 100 per cent safety.
Thirdly, different types of room have different price, for my room which is RM920 per month, or If you want to stay alone in one room which is RM1200 per month and if you want to live in a set room with kitchen, you must pay RM1200 as well with out private bathroom. All the information about dormitory that you can find it out online. Then, if you want to check in the accommodation, you can apply online and fill in a form or you can call the International Office to help you register in before three months if you are an international student. Moreover, the university staff must pick you up when you arrive in Malaysia and take you to the accommodation directly. After that the manager will inform you of all the “House rules” and facilities.
In brief, from my view, if you are a girl please think about the personal safely more than money. But anyway, stay at campus is a best choice for me now.

Taylor university provides facilities such as pool. There is a fish pool at Taylor's, where you can see ducks ,and turtles. Taylor's provides the facility of a lake or pool to make students at taylor's relaxed and to create a task or take pictures. Many students who sit on the edge of pool relax and do the job. Because the air near the pool is very cool and the scenery is so beautiful. People of ten sit in the pool of the class is completed. They often congregate near the pool. There are many people who sit on the edge of pool to take pictures and see the scenery. At night, the atmosphere is very cool by the pool and lots of lights that make it a nice pool. Many ducks are swimming in the pool, and students often feed the ducks. They are very happy to gather near the pool and they are very pleased to see the fish in the pond.

The basketball court and one of football court which located at beside basketball court have a roof above it. The roof is very useful for players because it can covers the strongly sunlight or rainstorm who can continue their activity and not be disturbed by it. Many students and teacher like to playing a few activity and exercise from here when after school or teaching because this area is allow to all people in this campus. People who always play the activity at there can meet and know a lot of strength and powerful players because they always be there to train and play together. However, this playground is easy to go which is in behind of car park because after the players finish their activity, their car is near from them and easy to go and rest. Most of the players like to call a lot of friends play the activity together because it is more fun and happy. The activity can exhaust the toxin from their body from their sweat which can make players healthy and happy when playing. When students feel stress in class, they can come this playground to reduce their pressure and relax.
On the way from main entrance toward Taylor college canteen there is a place that are very famous and It is called taylor street. The street is located at the ground floor of Taylor dormitory and gym area. The shop store are selling computer equipment, stationery, daily essential, even also having hair salon at there too. So it is very convenient for student. It also have several very famous and difference type of restaurant and it is meet to needs for students. This street also often exhibited by our international student. Through the exhibition, they are bringing some thing fresh such as their culture, their idea and of course with their local famous food to Malaysia to show their own country characteristics. In Conclusion this street we not only can get what we need from the East and West and it is also make us to realize this street is how important to share the culture from other country to the Malaysian.
